By the age of fourteen Travis Hedges Williams had already begun writing for the stage and screen, served as the lead host on Fox 44 TV's Kid's Club, and been seen as a principal actor in a music video for the band Deadeye Dick (who have a song on the Dumb & Dumber soundtrack). In his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Travis has played numerous roles on stage, including "Captain Hook", "Willy Wonka", "Jack" in The Importance of Being Earnest, and "Septimus Hodge" in Tom Stoppard's Arcadia. Additional performances have included The Complete Works of William Shakespeare [Abridged], The Woman In Black, and The Last Days of Judas Iscariot. With the Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre, Travis authored the scripts to a number of educational programs and appeared on stage as "Uncle Drosselmeyer" in The Nutcracker and as one of the stepsisters in Cinderella. Travis has also worked for EA Sports (the makers of the Madden series) and for the Red Stick International Animation Festival (which was, at the time, the largest event of its kind in the United States). In addition, he completed an internship at Louisiana Public Broadcasting and worked as a background artist on the films Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, and Miley Cyrus's So Undercover. Through Hedges Pictures he has served as producer, writer, director, and/or editor of over twenty nine films. Travis graduated cum laude from Louisiana State University, with a degree in General Studies with a concentration in Theatre, Film/Media Arts, and English, and minors in History and Sociology. He also holds a master's degree in Library and Information Science with a concentration in Archives Management. A complete list of his film work can be found on IMDd.
